The conquering wormsAs written in the subtitle, this article contains spoilers. So it will have clear references to the plot. If you don't want to ruin the surprise, read this post only after reading the novel. I wrote the review of The Worms Conquerors , in which I didn't mention the plot. I talked about the book from a simple reading point of view. The novel, therefore, as a pure object of pastime and pleasant company. Here, however, I would like to tear this book to pieces, in the good sense of the term.
I would like to analyze it more thoroughly, certainly not as an expert on the subject - I am not - but as a reader who has a good number of stories read Special Data under his belt, who is approaching the world of writing and, consequently, is inevitably more attentive , more critical, more demanding. If on the one hand I liked the book - I can't say otherwise - on the other it didn't convince me. At the end of reading I didn't feel fully satisfied. In my opinion this novel has strengths and weaknesses, the first in the style and skill of the author, the second in the plot and structure.
Merits of the novel The Conquering Worms by Brian Keene Brian Keene's stylistic prowess Brian Keene can write . Point. Although he has only read this novel, I think he is an excellent narrator. Three hundred pages of this book can literally be read in one breath. I set aside The Arabian Nights so I could read it. To be honest, I wanted to be the first, or one of the first, to talk about it after reading it. Because a huge amount of noise has been made about this novel long before it came out. It is the first time in Italy that a book by Keene, a well-regarded author in the United States, has been published.
